This Privacy Policy explains how Kalax Enterprises ("Kalax", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the Kalax Messaging Platform, a messaging service that enables business customers ("Business Customers") to communicate with their own end customers using the WhatsApp Business Platform.

1. Who we are

Kalax Enterprises operates the Kalax Messaging Platform. Kalax provides messaging infrastructure that Business Customers use to send and receive messages to their own customers over WhatsApp. Kalax does not control the content of the underlying business relationship between a Business Customer and its end customers.

2. Information we process

Depending on how the Platform is used, we may process:

• WhatsApp Business Platform / Meta data: phone numbers, message content and metadata (such as timestamps and delivery/read status), message templates, and identifiers provided by or through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (for example WhatsApp Business Account and phone number identifiers) as needed to send and receive messages on a Business Customer's behalf.
• Business Customer account data: information a Business Customer provides to set up and operate their account, such as business name, contact details, and configuration data (for example message templates they create).
• End customer data submitted through messaging: phone numbers and message content that a Business Customer's end customers send or receive through the Platform.
• Technical data: limited operational data such as request logs and error logs, used to operate and troubleshoot the Platform.

3. How we use this information

We use the information described above to:

• send and receive messages on behalf of Business Customers via the WhatsApp Business Platform;
• create, submit, and manage message templates on behalf of Business Customers;
• operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the Platform;
• comply with applicable law and with Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform policies.

We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

4. How information is shared

We share information as necessary to operate the Platform, specifically:

• Meta / WhatsApp: messages, message templates, and related data are transmitted to and from Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (Graph API) as the underlying messaging channel.
• Service providers: infrastructure and hosting providers that store or process data on our behalf, under obligations to protect it.

We do not otherwise share information with third parties except where required by law.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, including transmitting data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricting access to production systems and credentials to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the Platform to Business Customers, to comply with our legal obligations, or as required by Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform policies, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

7. Deletion requests

Business Customers, and end customers who have messaged a Business Customer through the Platform, may request deletion of their information by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to and act on verified deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to any data we are required to retain by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
